To stimulate students' curiosity and exploration, cultivate their rational analysis and information judgment thinking, in addition to expanding the knowledge of students, on 21st December, 2024, Anqing Foreign Language School's Junior High School Division organized 7th grade students to participate in the science lecture hall activity in the Municipal Science and Technology Museum.

Specifically, Professor Luo Wentao introduced the topic from 'two dark clouds' with interesting image information, connecting with life examples, and closely focusing on issues such as 'science developed by speculation', 'concept of dark matter', 'detection and model of dark matter', and using image demonstration and other ways to explain astronomical knowledge in a simple way, which unraveled the mystery of dark matter. Evidently, this grand event was both a scientific feast that struck at the heart and a fantastic and fun spiritual baptism, which broadened students' horizons, and stimulated their patriotic enthusiasm and interest in exploring science.

 

On the whole, as is known to all, the nation prospers when science and technology flourish, and the nation is strong when science and technology thrive. Therefore, this science lecture not only let students feel the unique charm of astronomy, but also enabled them to understand the role of dark matter in our lives, which ignited students' passion for learning and loving science and their enthusiasm for exploring scientific knowledge in the meantime.
